Epic Pickleball Tour Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Epic Pickleball Tour website (the "Site") and participating in our pickleball tournaments, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Site or participate in our tournaments.  

2. Tournament Participation

Eligibility: Participation in Epic Pickleball Tour tournaments may be subject to age, skill level, and other eligibility requirements as specified for each tournament.

Registration and Payment: You must register and pay the required fees to participate in a tournament. Registration is not complete until payment is received.

Tournament Rules: You agree to abide by the rules and regulations of each tournament, as determined by Epic Pickleball Tour and/or its tournament organizers.

Refund Policy: Our refund policy for tournament fees will be outlined on the specific tournament registration page.

Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain respectful and sportsmanlike conduct at all times. Epic Pickleball Tour reserves the right to disqualify any participant for inappropriate behavior.

Liability: Participating in pickleball tournaments involves inherent risks. You acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to release Epic Pickleball Tour from any liability for injuries or damages incurred during participation.

3. Website Use

Account Creation: If you create an account on our Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

Intellectual Property: All content on our Site, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Epic Pickleball Tour and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.  

Prohibited Activities: You agree not to use our Site for any unlawful or prohibited purpose, including but not limited to:

Posting or transmitting any offensive or harmful content.

Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our Site or systems.

Interfering with the operation of our Site.

Accuracy of information: You are responsible for ensuring all information you provide to Epic Pickleball Tour is accurate and up to date.

4. Payment and Fees

Payment Processing: All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors.

Fees: Tournament fees and other charges are non-negotiable unless otherwise stated.

Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

5. Limitation of Liability

Epic Pickleball Tour shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Site or participation in our tournaments.

We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the content on our Site.

We are not responsible for events outside of our control, such as weather related cancellations.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Epic Pickleball Tour harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of our Site or participation in our tournaments.

7. Changes to Terms

Epic Pickleball Tour reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on our Site. Your continued use of our Site or participation in our tournaments after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.  

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California.  

9. Registration Guidelines:

Enter Both Players’ Information: During checkout, ensure both players register and pay by the deadline.

Waiver Agreement: By registering, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in the Waiver, Release of Liability, and Participant Conduct Agreement. Please review the document carefully before completing your registration.

Payment Options: Credit Cards are accepted safe and secure through STRIPE.

Confirmation: After successful online registration, you will receive a confirmation email and your name will be added to the division.

Refund Policy: Withdrawals before the registration deadline will be refunded one week after the deadline, minus a $3 processing fee per transaction. No refunds or credits after the deadline for any reason, including weather conditions.

Both players in a team must complete payment by the deadline. Teams with incomplete registrations and payment will be moved to the waiting list.

Changes: Email [email protected] before the registration deadline for any changes (partners, divisions, DUPR ID, contact info, etc.). No changes will be allowed after the deadline.

10. Rules:

Official Ball: Franklin X-40 yellow

Regulations: USAPA 2025 pickleball rules apply. Only USAPA-approved paddles are permitted. Net serves are in continuous play. Out calls must be clear and loud. UPA approved paddles are not allowed.

Rating Compliance: Partners can play above their DUPR rating but not below. If both partners are rated 3.49 or below, they may enter the 3.0 division. For the 3.5 division, both must be rated 3.99 or below.

Disqualification: Registering in a lower division than your rating may result in disqualification.

5 teams: Double round robin, 1 game to 11, win by 1.

6-7 teams: Single round robin, 1 game to 15, win by 1.

8-10 teams: Single round robin, 1 game to 11, win by 2.

11-20 teams: Divided into two groups, top two from each group advance to medal rounds. Medal round will be one game to 15, win by 2.

21-40 teams: Divided into four groups, top two from each group advance to quarterfinals. Playoff will be one game to 11, win by 2.

DUPR Requirements:

Match Recording: All matches will be recorded to DUPR. Results will be uploaded within a week after the tournament.

DUPR Account: All players must have a DUPR account before registering.

Spectators are welcome! Seating is limited, so bring your own chairs, blankets, and shade.
